Nice find! SG gets some good stuff in but they tend to sell out quickly.

I just ordered one. They told me the caps will fit from size 6 7/8 up to 7 3/4. They would not say what the label reads. The sales rep did say for the larger sizes these would have to be stretched out. I am hoping it is at least 7 1/4.

Got one ordered to. Sean you should've told me earlier about this as we could've went in together and I could've saved you a bit more on them!!

There is a Greek guy on EBay that has a few mint MQ-1's for sale right now. One is a 71/2, the other a 71/4. He has had several in the larger size, which was great for me. Delivery was pretty quick, considering that they came from Greece.

Hey Bren, When you receive your Pile cap from SG, let me know what size they shipped to you. The MQ-1 cap I have is a tad tight on my big head, the blood flow on my forehead gets restricted! They don't mention a size on the website nor do you have a choice, if my memory serves me correctly. regards, Patrick Hubble

Pat, I'll see if I can pull up a link to the guy on e-bay. He lists his sizes.

I have ordered from this seller twice and he ships faster than ANY US seller on eBay. And he's in Greece! Also, he's a very polite guy to deal with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Got my pile cap, MQ-1, Jan 25 1951, storage wear (except where I nipped off part of the tie string opening it) Size marked 7, but snug on me, and I wear a 6 7/8. I needed an extra, but nothing to get too exited about.

Got my cap today also. Like Woodard stated, storage wear, nothing major. Mine is also a size 7. I usually wear a 7 1/4 so I was a little aggravated. But my cap fits pretty good. A little snug in the front when the bill is down, but not as bad when the bill is flipped up. As much as I'll be doing anything Korean War that will require this cap, I'm really not disappointed much.

Mine came in too. Size 7. Too small for me, so I sent it back.

Those all came from Sturm in atlanta when I was down there they had over 800 in bundles unissued and going through them sizes I saw were big as 7 3/8 saw a lot of 7 1/4 and 7 1/2 they were wholesaling at 8 bucks each all you need is to set up an account with them with a tax id number...they had sacks of them

I traded my SG pilecap to another guy here in Denver with a smaller head than mine. I had a feeling that it'd be too small.
