I have a 5-Sided Pyramidal Nylon arctic tent with canvas floor, stove pad and stovepipe vent, sleeps 4-5. It belonged to my father, a bush pilot, who used it for expeditions in the late '40's, early '50's when he was expedition pilot for the Arctic Institute of North America (AINA), on geophysical research expeditions in Alaska, Baffin Islands, Canada, and Greenland. It was originally intended for issue to troops deployed in Arctic regions. Tents of this design were used in Korea and were originally intended for troops on the Aleutian Islands. It is a type favored by elk hunters for base camps, but the packed size and weight limit its application. For reenactment purposes it is accurate. I would donate it to a reenactment group but the size and weight, limit distribution to the Pacific Northwest unless someone is willing to pay for shipping.
