Hi, I’m writing to promote the Korean War-era North Korean reenacting unit I’m starting up, 18th Regiment, 4th ‘Seoul’ Division. So far this unit is just me, an event page, and fond ambitions but I hope to have at least five other members by mid-August to fight against the 1st Marine Division- Korean War Reenactment Group at a public tactical in Eastern PA. Come visit the Facebook page to see lots of good reference images of North Korean uniforms and gear. DISCLAIMER: 18th Regiment, 4th Seoul Division exists for historical and educational purposes only. Promotion of totalitarianism, racism, Juche, Kim Il-Sung thought, Songgun politics, or other noxious ideologies will not be tolerated. North Korean reenacting cannot thrive if it gains a reputation for political extremism and I personally know too many North Korean defectors to allow such shenanigans. If you are a North Korean sympathizer wishing to use this as a vehicle for political agitation you will be very unwelcome here. www.facebook.com/groups/4thseouldivkoreanwar/Here's the event link: www.colonialplantation.org/HistoricTimeline1.htmLink to the an 18th Rgt. event page: www.facebook.com/events/1650503568608099/Link to 1st Mardiv KW's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/1stmarinedivisionkwgroup/I'll crosspost this in the Events section.

Hello, I'm not in the US so I can't help with your endeavour but I would love to see your impressions! Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, it's a real shame KW reenacting never became a thing. It's just a handful of weirdos like me doing it in the States. I know a few in South Korea too but reenacting is hardly even a thing there. I see the Frozen Arsehole in your profile. I take it your main focus is British and/or Commonwealth.

I agree it is a shame! I just hope it will grow. Yes indeed I am sir. Aiming for a late 1950, early/spring 1951 29th Brigade look. I'm slowly getting bits and pieces together. I have most of my basic look sorted and I'm just trying to get a full webbing set at the moment. A lot of the fun for me is in the research and hunting for the items. When I have a more complete load out I will start a thread for it!
