Army gear canteen question

I am putting together a BAR webgear setup and was wondering if it would be farby to have two canteens on my ammo belt. I primarily do a summer Army hotter weather impression, and I like to carry multiple canteens just on principle. (Been badly dehydrated before at hot events and learned my lesson). Is having two canteens justifiable or correct for KW Army impressions?

I don't know if it was widely done, but I do know that you carry the gear you want to... I haven't seen any photos that I recall, of carrying 2 canteens, but if a guy wanted to, nobody would say no. You could certainly stow one in your backpack or gas mask bag.

For WW2 re-enacting we always carry two canteens. And nobody has said it's wrong.
