Just picked up the book: USMC Scout/Snipers in WW2 and Korea. A very good reference book for the Marine 'sniper' impressionist. Some very fascinating information in regards to weaponry, and equipment. For example, the Springfield '03 was used with the Unertl x8 scope as the main weapon platform for Scout/Snipers right up and into the Korean War. As the KW progressed the M1C and M1D models started to appear more.
I bought it off of ebay and I would highly recommend it. It doesn't go into a lot of depth on 'tactics' and 'special' equipment, but very indepth with wpns/scopes and spotting scopes. Even has copies of correspondence on recommendations from USMC shooting team test evaluations.
