Hi,
This isn't really my province so I'd like to ask for some advice.
I have recently bought an object that is named to a US veteran of the Korean War. Unfortuantely, I know only his name and rank and nothing about his unit/division/when he served in Korea etc.
Is there any way that I can find out more about him without being a relative?
Thanks!
BP

you 'might' be able to get a copy of his service records from the National Personel Records. When you request, if you tell them, you've come across the person, and you're interested in finding him or his family....

Would that involve going there in person? St. Louis is a long way from Europe!
Thanks for your help anyway.
