History:

The Turkish Brigade (code name North Star, Turkish: Şimal Yıldızı or Kutup Yıldızı) was a Turkish Army Infantry Brigade that served under United Nations command during the Korean War between 1950 to 1953. Attached to the U.S. 25th Infantry Division the Turkish Brigade fought in several actions, and was awarded Unit Citations from Korea and the United States.

Uniforms:

The Turks seem to have worn US equipment, with their own patterns of insignia and ranks.

Thanks for the links. Overall, it does seem to be a fairly easy impression to put together. I'm going to aim for a 1950 impression, in which they wore their own battle dress. Though it does look very US influenced.

Now to look around for the Type 2 insignia.

I have the rifle and leathers already. I'm just going to use US boots and side cap since I have those already. Might have to modify a US Ike jacket, since the Turkish battle dress seems closer to that style than any of the British styles.
