Hello,
Does anyone know where I could get a decent substitute for a real pair of (I think) brown lace-up M-1948 Boots (the ones that are similar to WW2 paratroopers' ones).
I have only seen real ones in museums and even then they looked to be in such bad condition I'd be scared to put my foot in one!
Repro US para ones (that I've seen) are no where near affordable and I certainly couldn't justify spending £100+ for pair of boots that are only 'similar' to the ones I'm trying to get. Unless there's a cheaper source...
Is that the only option?
Thanks, BP

Thanks but I was hoping if there was a seller in Europe - no matter how good something is in the US, the price is bound to be doubled by at-cost shipping ALONE ! BP
