Hi guys,
I currently reenact WWII U.S. but have recently become interested in USMC especially in Korea I am in the process of putting a display together to reenact this gtime period, and promote the forgotton war to the public. The problem is over in the UK there is very much a lack of interest in anything past 1945, and that makes it more tempting to re-enact, but means that finding any kind of information difficult!
I have got myself a nice set of origenal post WWII 1950's Dress Blues, hat etc but I am seeking information on what medals/ribbons would be worn on the uniform for someone who didn't see service in WWII, but went through Inchon etc.
Any help would be greatly apreciated as finding info over hear is proving difficult!
Cheers for your help fellers
Sam

Okay for a U.S.M.C. vet who saw action in Korea and not in WW2 say 1953 era here is a short list of ribbons to wear.
1. National Defence 2. Korean Campaign ribbon with star 3. United nations ribbon
These three are the basics.
For giggles you could wear
1. usmc good conduct medal 2. occupation medal ( Japan) u.s. naval 3. WW2 Victory medal ( you didn't have to fight or serve in WW2 to get one).
You could also get some valor medals or purple heart, but I would stear clear of these.
