Greetings, Do they have to be original? At the Front sells double buckle boots for a reasonable price and they ship out quickly, (plus you can obtain large modern sizes) and their authenticity when it comes to U.S. gear is top notch. Patrick Hubble Lynchburg, VA p.s. I notice you are in Bedford, I didn't know there were any other type of reenactors in this neck of the woods besides the droves of Civil War types...how refreshing! Are you new to Korean War reenacting?

Are you new to Korean War reenacting? I am from Bedford originally, and lived in Lynchburg off of Lakeside Dr. (Walden Pond Apartments) from 2000-2005. Does that count? BTW, I second your advice to get ATF double buckle boots. If you dub or mink oil them before taking the field they get really "authentic" looking...I have had the same pair since 2004 and have worn them in over 20 WWII re-enactments/living histories.

Yea, I have an original pair. They made it through 0.5 reenactments. For repro boots I'm a diehard WW2 impressions fan, but lotsa folks love the ATF ones too.

If you want an original pair, look on ebay. I had two original size 8 pairs, both sold within a few hours of being listed, so they're definitely desirable right now, that or my prices were lower than they should have been.

ATF is also having a sale pricing them at $90 right now rather than the normal $125.
My pair is great, and they even fixed a minor flaw for free covering the shipping both ways to boot!
