Before I go on Brigade SOG,kinda like DCD... In Korea did the Army use the same system for cleaning uniforms, simple exchange of dirty/soiled uniforms for clean uniforms as they did in the ETO in WW2? When the operations went trench did they set up a laundry service (local Nationals) or continue with just exchanging soiled for clean uniforms? Clean uniforms not meaning unissued, just clean. If they did uniform exchanges as in WW2, this would seem to reduce the chance of seeing enlisted ranks and unit patches. Something skipped over in WW2 since I guess a lot units guide their impression based on the Airborne who I don't think used the exchange laundry system till maybe the Bulge. Pro Patria

My buddy the KW vet, said they would go down to the river (where the shower unit would set up) and take cold showers, they then drew clean uniforms. Sounds like a WWII set up to me...
Not infrequently a PFC might draw a First Sgt. shirt because of size(USMC stenciled their rank on their sleeves) which pursuaded the Corps to convert to pin-on rank.
