I have basically two Korean War impressions I can do: a Soldier and a Medic. If I am to be a soldier in the future events all I have for use is a M97 12 gauge shotgun. If I am to be a medic I can use my impression from WW2 reenacting and be set to go. So my question is, did the US soldiers use shotguns in action against the Communist forces in Korea? Again if the answer is "no they didn't" then just call me "Doc". I'll await an answer. SSgt Sattilaro

I have yet to come across references to shotguns being used. Also, medics in Korea started arming themselves with carbines and rifles from the earliest days of the war because of the North Koreans shooting up medical units.
