It’s not strictly Korean War, but I thought people on this forum might be interested in seeing a recent photo of our group (The Garrison) portraying a Royal Artillery (TA) unit in 1952. We usually do Second World War, but having recently acquired a quantity of ‘49 pattern battledress, want to expand our remit to take in post-war impressions. For more photos see here: www.thegarrison.org.uk/events/viewEvent.php?year=2012&dir=Andover, Armed Forces Day 2012Attachments:

It's good to hear that - might you consider portraying the KW in the future?
I hate to be pedantic, but would the banner on your photograph have been used in 1952, considering the coronation was in June '53? I am aware the (officially at least) the queen dates her reign to 1952.

Yes, we are hoping to expand our re-enactment to take in various post-war impressions, but nothing in the pipeline at the moment.
Good question regarding the banner, and to be honest I don't have a definite answer. One of our group found it and it seemed like a perfect thing to display during this jubilee year. However, you will notice that the crowns surmounting the 'ER's are the earlier king's crowns rather than the queen's crowns that tended to be used after the coronation. This might suggest that the banner was made sometime between the death of GVI and the coronation of EII.

Interesting bit of history!
Let us know when/if you do definately decide to "do" Korea. Certainly plenty of interesting units to choose from!
