How many of you guys are from the UK? I want to see if there are actually any other Korean War groups in Britain or not!

M.E.Co and a few others do British Korean war as a sideline, no dedicated KW UK groups...yet.

Is your group actual for re-enactment or airsoft please? I hope I don't sound too rude in asking. The KW gets the least publicity in the UK of any country I've seen so it's good that some people try to promote it! BP

Both. We're all airsofters anyway so that's where we thought that we would start, however we're making our kit as realistic as possible and hopefully going to start actual living history events next summer.

That's great! Could you publish a kit list somewhere on the forum as a guide for us who know nothing about 41 COMMANDO? That would be very useful! You'll have to ditch the Belgian denison though

I don't have a Belgian Denison! Only one of us uses them at the mo, the rest have SOF replicas. But sure I'll post it up!

It was indeed, they were equipped with US uniforms, webbing, equipment and weapons however retained their berets and SV boots. I'll get some more photos up soon.

I do a Wiltshire Regt replacement in the Glosters Regt if that helps. Sadly the Korean War seems very over looked still. Would be great to get a group together.

I'm not over in the UK, but I have a British Impression for 1 N. Staffords circa 1953-1954. I'm trying to network and build up knowledge base for the Brits in Korea during the war, and after the armistice. If anyone's interested, we've got a facebook page devoted to the British Army Post 1945, and Korea seems to be the main research topic. You can find it here: www.facebook.com/groups/149306831906876/
