HARNESS MAN. from Korea ? and what for?

Hi everybody !

My name´s Alberto Flórez and I´m a WWII Big Red One Reenactor, a few weeks ago I purchased a huge lot of US militaria..there are some items WWI, some WWII some from the 70´S...And some I dont know where they come from or its purpuose ..and if they are ay worth.



here is one Harness dated 53 that I thought I could be from Korea War..can you help me ?.what was this used for ?..are in fact from korea. ?

Alberto, Not an expert on aircraft webbing, I would say it is part of a flight harness, looks like it is part of a larger full body parachute harness.

Let us know what you find out.

At Last the mistery is solved !
SINGLE TRACE TYPE MANS HARNESS TOW ROPE LINE SYSTEM: These were used mostly by the Mountain troops to drag gear and the Mountain howitzers up to the positions needed. A very useful item in the Korean War winter months !!
