On the weekend of June 17-19, 2011 the borough of Milford NJ in scenic Hunterdon County will be celebrating its 100th anniversary of incorporation. As part of the festivities the Milford Borough Historical Society is organizing a living history encampment and we are inviting units who represent the soldiers and civilians of the 18th through 20th centuries to participate. Living history activities will include tool, cooking, combat, and firing demonstrations, skirmishes, dueling, and much more Along with the encampment the larger community festival will consist of a fireworks display, block parties, dances, music, various family activities, a 19th century baseball game, and a parade. This event is free of charge and open to the public. A registration form is located on the historical society's website at www.milfordnjhistory.orgPlease let us know the number of estimated participants from your unit who plan to attend in the additional information section of the form. We need help in May 2011 at the Carlisle Army Heritage Museum. We are portraying the 8th Ranger Co. Korean War. If anyone would like to join us, let me know. If you want to do another Korean impression it is OK, but I need more 8th Rangers too. It is going to be a special weekend.
