A Chinese war movie from 1956? Well, it was about what I expected. Even managed to limit its self to only one song about loving the motherland while playing stock footage of factories and hydroelectric dams. My favorite parts were the American MG team, directed by an officer in dress uniform, set up to shoot the American troops if they tried to retreat, while the attack was supported by "Ed Wood"style model P-80's on strings. Good stuff. Honestly it wasn't terrible, just predictable and overly drawn out and boring in parts. If you spent a certain amount you got free shipping, so now I've got "Yamato"(Japanese WW2 about the battleship), "Song of the Stork"(Viet film about the war), and two or three other Chinese WW2 movies to watch. All that for about $30 at www.Yesasia.com.
