Most of the guys I saw in Beijing (People's Armed Police, kinda army and kinda not) were wearing camo sneakers. They were low top so they don't give any ankle support, but are pretty comfy. I see a lot of pics of guys in Korea with those black slippers, I seemed to remember seeing them at the surplus store but they are the same thing you can buy here. The picture page from the Chinese Army newspaper has a lot of pics of guys with obsolete gear and rifles alongside the new stuff.
