After the Christmas rush I'm hoping to order some gear for my Chinese setup, I'll let everyone know about any Farbiness or quality issues ASAP.

Front of Russia has a Ushanka that looks to be pretty good for Chinese... item no. 3C. I may have to order one to confirm.

Front of Russia has Chinese carryall bags, as pictured in the US Army handbook, for $10. Item 207E, "reenactor" section, page 6, BSL-110 WW2 canvas holster. Apparently they were issued with a shovel cover with a closed bottom. this was for carrying canteen, chopstix and bowl.

how reliable is front of russia? I have ordered a jacket from them and still haven't seen it. it has been almost a month if not that.
just curious, because I didn't want to order gear for chinese and never see it again.

I hear good things from the Russians on the WW2 forums, but I haven't dealt with him personally. I've had mixed experiences with overseas vendors, but I hear good things about Alex.

Hey Comrades, Moore Militaria (primarily a U.S. Vietnam supplier) has a few usable Chinese items, under their "Quartermaster" section, then scroll down and click on their NVA/VC Items and you'll find some Chi-Com items, but the cool items are the khaki 2 cell/ pouch and the 4 cell/ pouch grenade holders made by the Chinese complete with 50's (and some 60's) dates on them! I already own a 52' dated one with some Chinese inert/dummy practice grenades! Here's the site: mooremilitaria.com Patrick Hubble Lynchburg, VA

The 4 cell ones look like the later ones, I haven't seen any pics of the ones with the flap over the ends of the grenades. Cheaper than Dirt has them 3 for $5, www.cheaperthandirt.com/MIL2145-63772-1395.htmlI may get some and take the flap off, mabey just paint the thing khaki. Especially if I can make some reenacting grenades for them. Mooremilitaria's 2 cell one is awesome looking, I thought about trying to get one but I also keep thinking about getting a sewing machine and something like that looks pretty easy to whip up.
