Korean war help!

Hello everyone! I'm working on a novel, and I need some help ironing out some details to be accurate. One of my characters has his father's Korean War era military backpack with him, but I'm not sure about what it would be. I've looked around, and I still can't find a satisfactory answer. So I'll put it to everyone here: what kind of backpack would an infantryman carry into combat in Korea? Thanks for the help, and I'm sure I will be getting back with more questions.
