Hi, I'm new to the Korean war seen, I do WWII 517th PRCT and 2nd armored 41st inf reg living history in Washington state. I'm looking to put together a early war Inchon impression. Anybody have a Uniform and gear list? I know it was mostly WWII gear and uniforms but was there any other added things they had? Any Info would be a great help.

Ahoy! If you go with a WW2 USMC list of clothing and equipment you would be squared away. Of course later the winter clothing comes in to use and then items like the 2 and 3 pocket grenade pouches.
Post some pics when you get set.

Welcome aboard. yeah, like Transport said, if you go with a WW2 list, you'll be okay. Minor little differneces, but not much. One thing, as the war progressed, some Marines started blousing the black combat boots.

1958-9 for black combat boots. Cordovan (roughout) combat boots were introduced in 1952...leggings and boondockers before that.

According to my USMC Korean War vet, they had black leathers issued to them over there, army stock? Just like the brown five-button army issued sweater. He did state, it all depended on what was in stock.
