Say its 1950-53. The war in Korea is going on, what branch of service would you join? Would you wait for a draft notice? Would you get recalled for service if you were a ww2 vet? Would your job be a part of national security and you couldn't be drafted? Lets remember that not every soldier , sailor, marine, airman, or coast guardsman went to Korea. Some were in Japan, Germany, Panama , Stateside or in Japan. What would be your story? Maybe after filling out the poll, you can give a little 1st person impression of yourself in this time period based on your current life in the 21st century.

My Korean War story is kinda bland. I would have served in WW2 because I am currently 31 years old. I would have served in an 2nd Armored Div. because thats the unit i served in the real Army (1995). I was in a maintinace company. I would have went into the guard after the war and tried to get my 20 years. Also because of the lack of jobs in 1946 and 47. I would not have tried to go to Korea but would have went if they called me.
